What We Believe

The Bible

We believe the Scriptures to be the verbally inspired Word of God, the final authority for our faith and practice. We believe His Word has been preserved for us today. We choose to solely use the King James Bible as our source for teaching and preaching in all our ministries.

(2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

The Person & Work of the Holy Spirit

We believe the Spirit is one who convicts the world of sin,                       righteousness, and judgment. He is the supernatural agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption. (John 16:8-11)

Eternal Security

All the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power and are thus secure in Christ forever. We have the privilege, as believers, to rejoice in the assurance of our salvation.

(John 10:28; Romans 8:1, 38-39)

The Church

We believe in the autonomy of the local church which is made up of born-again believers who have been Scripturally baptized. Its mission is to witness by life and by word the truths of the Gospel to the world.

(I Corinthians 12:12-14; Matt. 28:19-20)

The Trinity

We believe in one triune God, eternally existing in three beings-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory and having the same attributes and perfections.

(2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 4:6)

The Depravity of Man

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam’s sin the race fell. We inherited a sinful nature, separating us from God. We believe man is unable to remedy his lost condition.

(Genesis 1:26-27; Ephesians 2:1-3, 12)

Spiritual Gifts

We believe that God is sovereign in the bestowment of all his gifts, and that the gifts of evangelists, pastors, and teachers are sufficient for the perfecting of the saints today, and that speaking in tongues and working of sign miracles gradually ceased as the New Testament Scriptures were completed.

(I Corinthians 12:4-11; 2 Cor. 12:13)

Church Ordinances

We believe the church has two ordinances: Baptism is only by immersion and takes place after one is saved. The Lord's supper is observed to remember His death.

(Acts 10:44-48; I Corinthians 11:23-28)

The Person & Work of Christ

We believe that Jesus is the eternal Son of God, virgin born, so that He might come to redeem the world. That redemption was made possible by his death on the cross and is made sure by his literal, bodily resurrection.

(Philippians 2:6-9; Romans 3:24-25)

Salvation

We believe salvation is the gift of God brought to man by His grace and received by repentance of sin and placing your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone as Saviour.

(John 1:12; Ephesians 1:7, 2:8-10)

Dispensationalism

We believe in the dispensational view of Bible interpretation and that we are privileged to live in the "age of grace"  but reject the extreme belief of “hyper-dispensationalism” making Old Testament principles and promises useless for us today.    (Acts 2:41-42; I Corinthians 11:23-26)

The Second Coming of Christ

We believe in that “blessed hope,” the personal, imminent, pre-tribulational, and pre-millenial coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His redeemed ones; and in His subsequent return to earth, with His saints, to establish His millenial kingdom.

(I Thessalonians 1:1-10, 4:13-18, 5:9)
